There's huge challenge people commonly run into when they set out to build a business. HUGE. A passion killer, that sadly causes a large percentage of people to give up before the ever really start.
The challenge? They don't have a clear understanding of the problem their business solves. And I get it. It can be confusing. For quite a number of years I attempted to sell my art. It was difficult. I assumed I just wasn't that great at it. Nobody seemed to want it (except for friends and family whom I assumed felt sorry for me). Then, I started to look at the situation differently. I asked myself, "What problem could my art solve for people?" GAME CHANGER!!! I decided that my sculptures were meant to help people tell their stories. To help people mark important life moments so they didn't get stuck in out-dated identities. Once I was able to clearly communicate the problem I solved with my art, I was able to find and grow an audience. An audience of people who became repeat customers and commissioned pieces. I finally started making some real money doing something that felt like play. So... Take some time to get clear on the problem your product or service solves. Take a look at your marketing and see if it clearly communicates this to your audience. Here's to solving problems,
