Something different this week. My invitation to you is to watch the video featuring my friend and bird language expert, Dan Gardoqui, and ask yourself, "What does this have to teach me about growing my business or building more fulfilling relationships?" And then... let's talk.

I totally relate to this. I spend a good portion of my day either in my backyard or the woods, listening to birds. I even listen to the birds when I am in the house. I bring my laptop or notepad outside to do my work.

It's funny you should mention humans Terri - something Ive learned from Dan and another mentor of ours, Jon Young, is that humans follow some very similar patterns as birds if only you expand you definition of people language to the non-verbal range of communication. Sometime when I people watch, I like to read the language that they communicate that doesn't involve words. We all do this of course but comparing it to the language of the birds... well, it's fascinating.

Thanks for this Michael. Although I won't be heading to the Adirondacks this summer (14 day quarantine, thanks, Miami, FL) I've been spending a lot of time outdoors on our screen porch, working, making art, and learning Dutch. This video reminded me of the idea of tracking what captures our attention. At the moment it's not my coaching business, but rather slowing way down and remembering what brings me joy. Watching the lizards, squirrels and birds brings me joy. I loved listening to your friend's bird calls. Fascinating! Maybe after Dutch...
